From cream to white

From cream to white

Hello people. Here’s an interesting piece of information that you should read. About a week back, I got a phone call from my project team, telling me that they were forced to change the interior setup for my upcoming, second book in the series, The Broken. Namely, the book was too thick. It runs some 800 pages, and with high-quality cream paper, it is simply not possible to create a proper paperback binding. The alternative? White paper.

So the second book will be inevitably coming with a white paper interior. Now, this also means I will have to change The Betrayed to match this necessity. And that means, a second edition of the book. In other words, whoever has purchased the paperback version of The Betrayed owns the very first edition, and one day, when I get famous and whatnot, it might become a rare collection item. On top of that, I am making some very tiny changes to the cover and the interior. You should see the new edition come out any day now, although most likely, you will not notice anything different, because it’s only the author who catches the little imperfections in one’s work.

Speaking of books and whatnot, The Broken final proof is still not 100% ready, I’m afraid. There are a few outstanding issues with the interior formatting, and I’ve spotted a spelling mistake or two, which means I might be forced to go through a second round of quick editing. It will only take a few extra days, but I’m so anxious to get the book released, it’s maddening. Anyhow, these are the news for today. If you mulled purchasing the paperback edition of The Betrayed, I’d advise you to hurry, because the current incarnation will vanish from the shelves soon. Stay tuned.
