Amazon support is quite dandy

Normally, I am quite agnostic when it comes to vendor support on anything. And what I mean by that is, I let them be, and they let me be, and our paths do not cross. Most of the time, I prefer to resolve things on my own, and other times, you simply do not wish to contact the support, because you know you will be losing precious life cycles that cannot be restored. Not so with Amazon, I am pleased to announce, without bias or asslicking.

Recently, I have been having some very tiny editorial issues with my Amazon author’s page, and The Betrayed miscellaneous information. You see, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a two-edged sword. It can be a blessing or a curse, depending on the dosage. In very small amounts, it actually makes you more productive and far more attentive to details, so you end up noticing little things that normal people just do not register in their brains. But it comes down to a missing letter here or there, an extra pixel in a web page DIV element, a color the wrong shade of gray, and such like. Indeed, in pure physiological and mental harmony with my gift, I spotted a few glitches that needed fixing. I could not change them myself, having no control over Amazon servers, so I had to contact the vendor.

I was expecting decent support, having used Amazon services for a long while, but I sure did not expect excellent support. Are you familiar with those copypasta templates that support drones often send you, REGARDLESS of what your query actually was? Not so here. Waiting times? Negligent. Things were sorted out quickly, efficiently, with just one email query, followed by relevant and useful help.

Like I said, I am not normally inclined to praise vendors for their work, but this can be classified as a nice exception. It is quite liberating to discover ultra-professional support channels that will do what is expected of them, when and how you request it. If you happen to be an author and have your work featured on Amazon pages, you should expect a very decent treatment. Kudos. And my five minutes of free praise are over. Party on.
