Read a book, write a review, maybe win a smartphone

Read a book, write a review, maybe win a smartphone

Several days ago, I came up with a wicked idea. As you know, I make my living out of Linux, and I’m trying to promote Linux-based technologies that I think can benefit computer users worldwide. Then, I also want to promote my own work. So what’s the best thing? Roast two birds in one oven! Promote both at the same time.

To cut the long story short, I’ve organized a book read-review lottery contest for the readers of my other website, dedoimedo.com, and want to extend it here. Namely, read my book, The Betrayed, or the upcoming sequel, The Broken (coming soon), post an HONEST (good or bad) review on Amazon and get a chance to win an Ubuntu smartphone.

A highly negative review of The Betrayed – take a look

This is an excerpt from an article posted at Dedoimedo.com – Anyhow, several days ago, I received a highly negative Kirkus Indie Review of my book, The Betrayed. I would like to elaborate on my experience with the review service so that if you ever need it, you give it a pass.

First, this article is ripe with drama, so if you only care for technical pieces, feel free to skip it. Second, it is important for me to convey the right message: so if you want the gist of it, scroll down to the conclusion section, or read the whole thing. Finally, if you are one of those people who dislike me or dislike this site for some reason, this is a great opportunity for you to lean back and enjoy the show. It’s called how Dedoimedo Got Shafted.

Reviews are a-coming!

Reviews are a-coming!

All right, time to talk about reviews. Book reviews. This is the new category on the website, which I will be updating periodically with new information, editorials and opinions by readers, fans, haters, or maybe even professionals, should they deign to take my book for a spin. Or books, rather. But for now, it’s The Betrayed, and later on, the category will grow to include the sequels, too. So let’s see what people had to say.
